Terms of use

The rules for using Ranked Private Servers, for players who vote and review and for owners who list a server. By using the site you agree to them.

About these terms

Ranked Private Servers (rankedprivateservers.com) is a free toplist where players find game private servers, vote for them every day and review them, and where server owners list their servers. These terms apply to everyone who uses the site. By using it you accept them; if you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Games and trademarks

Ranked Private Servers is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the publishers or developers of the games listed on this site. Game names, logos and other trademarks belong to their owners and are used here only to describe which game a server is for.

Listed servers are run by their owners

Each server on the list is run by its owner, who is responsible for it: its website and downloads, its rules and staff, anything it sells, and how it treats your account and data. Server names, descriptions, banners and links are supplied by the owners.

A place on the list, a vote count or a rating is not an endorsement. We cannot promise that a server is safe, legal where you live, online or as described, so check a server yourself before you download its game client or pay for anything. The buttons for a server's website, Discord or Facebook page take you off our site.

Accounts

  • You need an account to post reviews, list a server or use the contact form. Voting does not need an account.
  • When you register, you choose a player account, for reviewing servers, or a server owner account, for listing them. Server owner accounts cannot post reviews.
  • Use a real email address: you have to confirm it before you can sign in. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

Voting rules

  • You may vote for each server once every 24 hours.
  • Vote yourself, from your own device and your normal internet connection. Do not use VPNs, proxies, Tor or other services that hide or change your IP address, and do not use bots, scripts or other automation.
  • Do not try to vote more often, for example by switching devices, browsers or networks, or by clearing cookies.
  • Do not sell your vote or vote in exchange for money or anything else offered for extra votes. A server's normal reward for your daily vote is fine (see Rules for server owners).
  • Votes that fail our checks are not counted. We may remove votes we find to be fraudulent and ban IP addresses, devices or accounts that try to get around the checks.
  • Vote counts start again from zero on the first day of every month.

Rules for server owners

Listing a server is free. By listing a server you confirm that you run it or have its owner's permission, and you agree to these rules.

Your listing

  • Put the server in the right game category and keep its details accurate and up to date.
  • Banners must be 728 × 90 pixel WebP images of up to 150 KB. Names can be up to 25 characters, without special characters. Descriptions must be 200 to 400 characters, in English, with no links, HTML or code. Each website domain can be listed only once. The listing form checks most of these rules for you.
  • Do not use another server's name, banner or branding, and only upload banners and text you have the right to use (see our copyright policy).
  • Your server's website and downloads must not contain malware, phishing or anything illegal.
  • A listing that gets no counted votes for 14 days is marked inactive and hidden from the lists until it receives a vote again or you reactivate it. How rankings work explains the details.

Votes and rewards

  • Do not buy or sell votes, or pay anyone to vote. That includes vote-selling services, vote bots, VPN or proxy vote farms and vote-exchange schemes.
  • Do not ask or help players to vote more than once every 24 hours, for example from several devices or connections.
  • Vote rewards are allowed. You may reward players for their daily vote, for example with in-game items or points. You can set a return URL so that, after a counted vote, we send the player back to your site with a signed confirmation of the vote; the Vote Return Guide explains how.
  • Only reward counted votes cast within these rules.

Reviews

  • Do not reward reviews. Do not offer players anything for a review or a rating, such as items, in-game currency, points, money or special treatment, and do not make a reward depend on what a review says.
  • Do not review your own server, post reviews for it from other accounts, or ask anyone to post fake reviews, whether for your server or against another one.
  • You may post one public reply to each review of your server.

If the rules are broken

We may remove votes, reset a server's vote count, hide or delete a listing, remove reviews, and suspend or ban accounts, IP addresses or devices. We decide case by case and may act without warning where we find vote fraud.

Rules for reviews

  • A review must describe your own experience with the server. Keep it honest and about the server.
  • No insults, harassment, hate, spam, advertising or other people's personal information.
  • Do not accept anything in return for a review, and do not review a server you run or work for.
  • You can post one review per server. You can edit it once and you can delete it, but not after the server's owner has replied.
  • Reviews are published straight away. We may remove reviews that break these rules.

What you post

You keep the rights to what you post: reviews, replies, listings, banners and profile pictures. By posting it, you give us permission to host, show and reproduce it on the site for as long as it is published here, and you confirm that you have the right to post it. You are responsible for what you post, and we may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

Using the site fairly

  • Do not attack the site, probe it for weaknesses or try to get around its security, including the vote checks.
  • Do not overload the site with automated requests or collect other users' data from it.
  • Do not pretend to be another person, another server or our staff.
  • Do not use the site for anything illegal.

No guarantees

We provide the site as it is and as available. Our checks block most VPN, proxy and automated votes, but no system catches everything, so rankings, vote counts, ratings and reviews can contain mistakes. They also change, for example when fraudulent votes are removed or the monthly reset runs. We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using the site or any listed server, such as a lost game account, lost items, a payment made to a server, or harm from files downloaded from a server's website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the updated terms apply to everyone who keeps using the site after that date.
